The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility. Managing the inventory control function at the site. Responsible for overseeing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations.


  • Assigns, directs and monitors the cycle counting process. Validation of research and adjustments. Provide documentation and reporting on inventory movements. Identify variances and provide instruction on necessary corrections. Plan, prepare and perform physical inventories.
  • Works closely with other supervisors and Operations Managers on problem solving, issue resolution, and process management and communication of data.
  • Researches missing items to find root cause and put checks in place to eliminate these errors.
  • Motivates employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achieved or exceeded.
  • Recommends modifications or innovative ideas to upper management in order to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to day performance of their jobs. Has full authority for personnel actions.
  • Helps to train new employees and inventory teams. Conducts performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Prepares and submits daily and weekly reports.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed by the Manager.


  • Strong technical and managerial skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of WMS, preferably MS Dynamics NAV.
  • Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic operations.
  • Analytical skills in problem solving using continuous improvement tools and fundamentals, green or black belt a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate and maintain cross-functional partnerships, both internally and externally.
  • Understanding of financial analysis and relevant drivers.
  • Organized and great attention to detail.
  • Accurate data entry skills and clear communication.
  • Dependable and flexible availability – ability to work varied hours/shifts.
  • MS Office/MS Dynamics NAV.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing industry, and experience in frozen food environment a plus.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.


  • Ability to travel up to 25%. Must be able to travel independently and as a responsible Palermo’s representative.
