Overview

Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for all warehouse workers performing multiple functions, from shipping and receiving to inventory control and production support.

Responsibilities

Supervisory:

  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained.
  • Maintain consistent flow of ingredients and packaging materials into production
  • Ensure processes are performed within the established specifications and quality expectations
  • Report inventory levels as required to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed.
  • Conduct training of warehouse rules and job responsibilities.
  • Conduct disciplinary investigations and resolve as appropriate.
  • Issue attendance, performance and safety disciplines.
  • Manage shift payroll procedures including attendance tracking.
  • Consult with warehouse manager as appropriate

Performance Management:

  • Supervise the daily activities in the warehouse to include Maple facility.
  • Occasionally may need to operate powered industrial trucks.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled.
  • Evaluate and counsel employees to achieve desired performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Safety and Health:

  • Regularly review work areas to assure that associates are working in a safe and proper manner.
  • Ensure that personal protective equipment is being worn when necessary.
  • Monitor the condition of all equipment in the department.
  • Investigate safety incidents and prepare the necessary reports.
  • Enforce all safety policies including compliance with GMP’s.

Qualifications

  • Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with previous experience with Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Strong work ethic, reliable, puntual, responsible, dependableMust be able to read and understand BOL’s and other shipping paperwork.
  • Licensed to operate powered industrial trucks preferred or willingness to learn.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English

Required Educations and Experience:

  • Minimum High School diploma or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years job related experience preferably previous supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills. Must speak fluent English.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
